Security Policy

Customers that purchase content through Verotel's webmasters and merchants can be assured that their information is handled in a completely confidential manner.

Storage of transactions and credit card data

All data on Verotel's premises are stored and protected by state-of-the-art security systems.

Our network facilities are monitored 24 hours, 7 days per week, for any downtime, intrusion or attack. All network facilities are physically protected by biometric access control systems.

Verotel is level 1 PCI-DSS Certified, and therefore fully compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

Filling in your credit card information

All transactions are only offered through encrypted HTTPS channels. HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) ensures that all data is encrypted and transmitted securely between the client and the server.

This means no one on the Internet can read the data (including your credit card information) completely protecting your privacy and data.

Secure transactions and fraud protection

All new transactions are fully screened by the Verotel's anti-fraud system.

Verotel verifies and cross-references this data with information from more than 200 sources.

Because of this intensive anti-fraud verification system, costs of fraudulent transactions and chargebacks are substantially reduced.

At Verotel, we are committed to protect the privacy of both merchants and cardholders. We use the information we collect about cardholders and payment information to process transactions only. Private account and address information is necessary to verify that you are the person making the purchase and to thwart potential fraud. All information gathered in the course of a transaction is transmitted securely and is protected by our database throughout the transaction process.

1. What information do we collect? How do we use it?

When you order as a cardholder, we need to know your name, e-mail address, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, credit card, debit card, or checking account number, CVC code and expiration date. Sometimes we require your mailing address as well. This information allows us to safely process your transaction. We log the IP address for address verification and risk management purposes.

We collect the following categories of personal information: (a) Identity information: name, email address, mailing address; (b) Payment information: credit card, debit card, or checking account number, CVC code, expiration date; (c) Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information; (d) Transaction information: purchase history, transaction amounts, merchant information; (e) Communication information: email correspondence, support tickets.

WE ONLY USE THE INFORMATION TO PROCESS, CONFIRM AND NOTIFY YOU OF THE SPECIFIC TRANSACTION YOU ARE MAKING.

How We Use Your Information: We use the collected information for the following purposes: (a) Transaction processing: to process, confirm, and complete your payment transactions; (b) Fraud prevention: to verify your identity, prevent fraudulent transactions, and protect against unauthorized access; (c) Compliance: to comply with legal obligations, including anti-money laundering and financial regulations; (d) Communication: to send transaction receipts, notifications, and respond to your inquiries; (e) Service improvement: to analyze transaction patterns and improve our services; (f) Risk management: to assess and manage financial and operational risks.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

WE WILL NOT INCLUDE PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION.

Verotel may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to Comply with law, Enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or Protect the rights, property or safety of Verotel, our users, or others.

WE NEVER PROVIDE PERSONAL CREDIT CARD, DEBIT CARD OR BANDING INFORMATION WITH ANY REGISTERED SELLER.

4. How does Verotel protect customer information?

When you place orders or access your account information, we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

5. Data Retention

Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Transaction records are typically retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations. Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with our data retention policies.
